Nine months can be a significant amount of time: long enough for an academic year or for the full development of a baby.  But is it enough time to heal Charlottesville, Virginia after that city was plagued by the rage, hate, and violence of the Unite the Right rally on August 11, 2017?  Recognizing that more healing is needed both in Charlottesville and in the wider nation, the Bridge Alliance is sponsoring a “National Week of Conversation”.  Listen First a movement to facilitate healing in Charlottesville and inspire American citizens to engage in respectful, productive conversation. will kick start the National Week of Conversation April 20-22 with dinners hosted by community members, a free concert, and key note speakers.

The National Week of Conversation is sponsored by the Bridge Alliance, a national umbrella group of organizations seeking to bridge political divides in the US, whose mission mirrors that of EnCiv’s. The National Week of Conversation will be covered by multiple national television networks and will take place from April 20-28.
