While EnCiv’s core mission has broadened to include collaborative undertakings of virtually any and all types, civil discussion remains a focus.  We are convinced that the tools we’re developing can help make political discussion “positive, productive, and interactive.”

But you need not wait until those tools are in place.  Whether you’re convinced by all that we’ve been saying about the benefits of civil discussion, or just want to try it on for size, there are places you can go–both online and in-person–to engage in quality civil discussion.  EnCiv is conducting a number of trial sessions over the next several months.  Just leave a note on our website; we’d be delighted to get you involved.  Founding EnCiv member Interactivity Foundation (IF) has long been sponsoring discussions on a regular basis in Wisconsin and the DC and Philadelphia areas; contact the Fellows located in those areas on the IF website for specifics.  Or contact any one of the numerous civic organizations listed on the IF “Links” page to find out about other upcoming discussion opportunities around the country, many of them online.

Whichever option you choose, a well-organized and facilitated discussion is just a few clicks away.
